When we were first called into pastoral ministry we realised it was no small decision we were making. More than any other role in which we had served in church ministry, becoming pastors would have an impact on us and the people we would be leading. We felt that God wanted us to have clarity of purpose as we came into this new role.
We realised that we had four values that were important to us. We love people and want to add value to their lives. We are passionate about equipping people to grow in their relationship with God and each other. We are committed to helping people develop confidence, capacity, and resilience, overcoming in areas that previously defeated them. Finally, we enjoy spending time with people and sharing life with them.
It has been our privilege to provide leadership and direction for Ascension Church since 2013. Our focus is on providing an environment that encourages people to grow in the character of Jesus, express a living faith, and lead confident lives that are transformed by the word and presence of God.
