We believe in that our young people deserve our time, energy, and commitment. Ascension Youth is dedicated to growing and enabling teens in making their own decisions for God with confidence and clarity. Ascension Youth meets Friday nights during the school term. At our meetings we worship, share life skills, play group games and activities, and finish with diner prepared by church volunteers.

What time does Ascension Youth start?

Doors open at 5:45 PM and our service starts at 6:00 PM.

Where do I go when I get there?

Come into the Family Centre off Don Street (the single right hand door when facing our building). You will be greeted by one of our youth ministry team who will immediately connect you with whatever is happening that night. If you are new to Ascension Youth we will ask you to sign in with your name and contact details for a parent or caregiver in case of emergency (we haven’t had one yet...).

How long is the service?

Ascension Youth runs for two hours and finishes at 8:00 PM.

What should I wear?

We don’t have a dress code, but you need to wear clothing you can be active in. Most youth wear (very carefully chosen with hours of painstaking thought) casual clothes.

What should I bring?

You need to bring $2 to contribute towards dinner, we also recommend you bring a jacket.

​Can I attend if I am __________?

There are some things we won’t allow: people who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or people who choose to be disruptive or violent. Ascension Youth exists to benefit teenagers and grow their relationship with each other and God, as long as you want that too, then you are welcome!
