Ascension Kids Junior Class

For children aged approx. 4-10 year old
This ministry runs during the sermon and uses media, art, music, and story telling, to communicate the rich themes of the gospel.  

Ascension Kids Senior Class

Contact: Pastor Jay

This ministry runs during the sermon and is focused on 10-16 year olds using teaching, media, and discussion, to explore the gospel and discover how to live a Christ centred life.

Young Adults

Contact: Chance & Ruth Ria

This aGroup meets fortnightly and is designed for young adults approx. 18-30 Years. This ministry has a strong emphasis on understanding and applying the Word of God through captivating study and lively conversations.

She Reads Truth

Contact: Jennifer McBride-Henry

This fortnightly aGroup is for women aged 30–50 who want to grow in their understanding of Scripture and how it applies to everyday life. Through engaging study and real conversation, it’s a space for encouragement, connection, and spiritual growth.

Daughters Of Hope

Contact: Trish Stewart

This group is for women aged 50+ who seek a deeper understanding of God’s Word and a closer relationship with Him. Meeting fortnightly, it focuses on Spirit-led Bible study and fellowship, encouraging women to grow together in wisdom and grace.

Sons Of Courage

Contact: Cain Henry

This aGroup is for men of all ages, offering a space to grow in biblical literacy and deepen their faith. Designed to equip men to live like Christ, strengthening their spiritual walk and encouraging one another in discipleship.

Summer Programme

Summer in Southland is precious, so from January to February, we make the most of Sunday afternoons with picnics, BBQs, family sports, sand sculpting competitions, quizzes, car rallies, and movie nights. Come along and enjoy the fun!

Sunday Lunch

From March to November we enjoy a shared lunch every Sunday after our morning service. A strong church is built on good relationships, so we value the time spent together around the table. Bring a meal to share and get involved!
